Manual Test Engineer (0-3 Years Experience)
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer (0-3 Years Experience) to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing principles, SDLC/STLC, defect lifecycle, and quality assurance processes. You will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing manual test cases to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of web and mobile applications while collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and functional specifications.

- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios.

- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.

- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug tracking tools.

- Validate UI/UX, functionality, performance, and usability of applications.

- Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.

- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing.

- Collaborate with developers to reproduce, analyze, and resolve defects.

- Participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning meetings.

- Ensure software quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and testing standards.

Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Good knowledge of manual testing concepts and testing methodologies.

- Experience in writing detailed test cases and test scenarios.

- Understanding of functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, system, and UAT testing.

- Knowledge of defect lifecycle and bug reporting.

- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.

- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.

- Basic understanding of web and mobile application testing.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 0-3 years of experience in Manual Testing or Software Quality Assurance.

- Fresh graduates with internship experience or software testing projects are encouraged to apply.

- ISTQB Foundation Certification is an added advantage.

Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of API testing using Postman.

- Familiarity with browser developer tools for debugging.

- Understanding of responsive web testing and cross-browser compatibility.

- Knowledge of basic automation testing concepts is an advantage.

- Experience with mobile application testing (Android/iOS) is a plus.

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

- Knowledge of performance and security testing fundamentals.

- Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) testing principles.
